Shipping and Return policy
Shipping to New York
We will happily ship FedEx on your behalf. Shipping rates are calculated during checkout and are based on the weight, size, and destination of the order. Shipping containers will be charged at cost. Clients 21 and older must be available to sign for the package. Our default is FedEx Ground, but if you wish to ship using a faster method, please let us know and we'll adjust the cost when we process your order. At this time we are unable to ship to P.O. boxes.
Shipping Outside New York
Once your purchase is complete, you hereby authorize us to transfer your purchased items to a third-party shipping company. You hereby agree to take sole responsibility for complying with all laws regarding the importation of alcohol into your state. Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from Franklin Cellars to buyer in the State of New York, which is why we charge New York sales tax on your order.
Do you ship spirits?
By law, we are only able to ship spirits in New York State.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Time in transit is dependent on your location. As soon as the shipment leaves our shop, you will receive a shipping notification along with tracking information.
Does the weather affect shipping?
Extreme heat or cold kills delicious wine. During times of extreme heat or cold, we will gladly hold your purchases until we can ensure safer travel. If you opt to have your order shipped during such extreme weather, we cannot assume responsibility for the condition of your wines upon delivery.
General Return Policy
Unopened spirits may be returned for a full refund up to seven days after purchase. Refunds on returned spirits will be issued in the original form of payment.
All sales are final on wines and sakés and they may NOT be returned for a refund, credit, or exchange.
However, defective wines, spirits, and sakés may be exchanged for items of equal or greater value up to seven days after purchase.
Franklin Cellars stands behind all the wines, spirits, and sakés we sell. If you open a bottle and find that it is defective, we will gladly exchange it for a bottle of equal or greater value. The exchange value is based upon what you paid for the defective item, NOT the item’s price the day you return it. If you exchange an item for one of greater value, you will be asked to provide the retail price difference, along with any applicable taxes, at the time of the exchange. We do not issue store credit.
Since we cannot control how bottles are stored once they leave our possession, we will only accept bottles for exchange within 30 days of purchase. Items to be returned are subject to evaluation by our staff and must be accompanied by your original sales receipt.
