Aroma: The wine has a strong garnet red color and intense aromas of spices.
Taste: Flavors of tobacco and dried fruits with a tart-almond finish. A very special treat in each glass of this rich, full-bodied wine that offers a great finish with just the right balance of freshness and complexity.
Pairing: This will pair well with medium-rare red meats, paella, gumbo and other complex dishes.
Additional notes: Amarone requires the right conditions each year, and this wine delivers all the perfect characteristics that make a great Amarone. The soil here in Negrar consists of a marble-lime base with extensive tufaceous patches. The best grapes are hand-picked, eventually undergoing a very slow fermentation(40-50 days). The must starts fermentation inside larger 50 hl tanks. During the fermentation period the must is continuously and very gently stirred. The wine then ages 4-5 years in medium oak barrels.
